To go or not to go.
To sleep or not to sleep.
To be or not to be lazy.
Well, these were the questions on my mind early Saturday morning. With weekends being the only time I get to give my always-on-the-run-mommy-body rest, I’m always reluctant to venture out on Saturdays and Sundays much to the annoyance of my family. And this weekend too it was no different. Well, until it was.
Bloggers meets are always fun. It is one of those things where I get to meet friends who love blogging as much as I do and don’t see it as just some fancy hobby. And I love being in the company of such people and such friends. Indiblogger has been one of the platforms which have always backed bloggers and I have had some amazing opportunities and experience with and through them. So, when they sent a special invite for the #BergerXP meet, I registered without delay. Though, I wasn’t quite sure if my laziness would let me actually attend it this time around.
It had been a long time actually since I had attended an Indiblogger meet. It had also been over a year since I met any of my blogger friends. So, it really didn’t take much persuasion to drag my reluctant body to the event. And once there, I must say I had one of the best Saturdays in a very, very long time. I actually let my hair down, literally and figuratively, while the husband ensured I didn’t have to worry about M one bit.
Indiblogger meets are always fun as long as the brand also understands that blogger meets must include fun and not just brand promotion. Thankfully, Berger Paints India appeared to feel the same. So, we not only had fun but found it interesting and worth our while to find out about #BergerXP. Now, that’s some smart promotion, I must say.
I think it was the most informal and fun meet, I attended in a long time. Conversations followed by lunch and some more conversation was what the event started with. There was no registration or presentation before that. It was just a relaxed environment where we met each other, talked about all things under the sun and yes, laughed a lot while capturing those moments in pictures.
It was only after all that that the even truly started. But true to Indiblogger style, it started with, how can I describe it, Po-style-inner-peace-searching-moves perhaps? That was followed by a balloon stomping activity where the bloggers with a balloon tied to one leg had to destroy the others’ balloons. Well, let’s just say, I stood in the corner and decided to focus my energy (or the lack of it) on saving my balloon instead of bursting others’.

With all of us warmed up, Chandranath Banerjee from Berger Paints India, gave us an insight into the product. In a short and focused talk, no presentation mind you, he was able to keep us engaged, interested and awake. Now that is saying something considering it was all after lunch. It’s always welcome when the brands gauge the audiences’ pulse and move with it.
What I grasped about the product – BergerXP
- Outcome of Consumer Feedback
- Painting tools that reduce manual work and hence clutter.
- Berger Paints India trained customer executive and painters from start to finish.
- Easy connect with Berger through SMS.
- Painting at no extra cost.
- Faster, Cleaner and Better painting jobs.
- Customer Satisfaction survey of the job.
BergerXp – Benefits
- 40% faster than traditional painting.
- Trained painters for efficient and better painting.
- No mess tools.
- Vacuum Suction enabled sanding machines to keep house dust free during the process.
- Improved and better coverage and smoothness guarantee.
- High efficiency with certified tools.
- No addition cost.
All this in less than 30 minutes and we were back to more activities and fun. We tried our hand at sanding, which let me tell you is hard, followed by painting. Well, I just mixed the paints while my team did the painting. It was fun, relaxing and included lots of laughs. Moreover, how can anything which has such wonderful colours, not be fun?
It was a fun afternoon and being with friends made it even better. What more? I now know there is a way to get my house painted without the hassles. I guess it was a wise decision to not be lazy and get out of the house for once.
