Bangalore. In December’98, with winter vacations in full swing, there I was with my family experiencing this city for the very first time. Little did I know then that it would one day become my home? Well, it was destined, perhaps? Truth be told, my affair with Bangalore began at that very moment. An unpretentious city, perfect for me. A city that definitely should be discovered, if and when possible. So if you are planning a trip to Bangalore, this post my friend is just for you.
One of the fundamental aspects in travelling to any city is the accommodation, correct? I don’t quite remember which hotel we stayed in that year but if my memory serves me right, I think it was somewhere around M.G Road. The chilly chicken there was probably one of the best I ever had. Or, it could just be my memory playing mind games. My dad had done his reservations with the help of a friend. Today, however, for any person visiting Bangalore, the internet takes up that role. During those days though it wasn’t so. Nowadays you just need to do a Google search for, say, Bangalore tourism hotels to have at your disposal heaps of information about lodgings in the city. From low budget to luxury Bangalore hotels for tourists, there is a huge variety of alternatives to choose from.
Just a few clicks of the mouse is all it takes, few emails too maybe. So easy, right? Even Captain Spock agrees! However, let me tell you that hotel bookings were not always this straightforward. I think one of the best things about the internet revolution has been the ease with which you can find out and do so much staying within the comfort of your homes. One of those definitely being hotel reservations. So if you are looking for hotel bookings in Bangalore, I needn’t tell you that it would also be as simple as, say, ordering a pizza online? And not only that you can even see reviews, pictures, location and then make an informed choice. In fact, you can even compare hotels. Useful, right?
Since I’m talking about Bangalore and hotels, let me tell you that the city has a host of good hotels. And no I’m not saying this because I’m biased about my city. No sir. Trust me there are a lot of quality hotels in Bangalore for holiday tourists. And the best part is, it’s not limited to just one vicinity. Of-course, I would suggest that you chose areas like Koramangala, M.G Road, Indiranagar, if possible, for there’s where you can have the most fun in the city during your visit.
So why don’t you plan your vacation to Bangalore? Then if you zero in on a hotel near M.G Road and by a quirk of fate find the place which serves the best chilly chicken in the world, do drop me a note! Agreed?
Happy travelling and hope to see you soon in Namma Bengaluru.
When we first visited bangalore 18 years ago , a family friend's brother booked hotel accommodation for us. And since we knew the local language moving around was easy. A beautiful city and many eating options.
Cool. Never been to Banglore! Though my friends say it is an amazing place to settle down!
