F is for Faithful in Friendship

“Vivian! Who threw the paper at the board?” asked the teacher annoyed.

“Tell me or get out of my class!” he continued looking at Vivian through his glasses.

But to his dismay Vivian just unhesitatingly walked out.

As the class continued in full swing, standing outside Vivian noticed his friend Neha in the class look at him quizzically.

He knew what she wanted to ask. So smiling he just winked at her gesturing “I couldn’t rat you out!”.

They were friends and Vivian knew being faithful was an important aspect of it.

  1. 🙂 This was the story of most of us from school/college days 😀 😀 😉 Remembering good old days!!!

  2. thats how true friendship is 🙂 and in college days, the option of walkin out seems like reward rather than punishment

  3. While Vivien shielding Neha as a friend is commendable, is he also not sending out a message that he will shield her even if she does wrong things? Was wondering.

  4. AWWW>> that is too sweet! What lovely friends your characters have, Nibha. Makes me want to be in your stories 🙂

  5. That took me back to my schooldays. One of the teachers always threw me out of class even though my friend would be the one jabbering. She was my best friend then, she still is. Friendships are special. Nice one.

  6. Very cute post, Nabanita. Childhood friendships are where we are the most faithful, aren't we? No scene of ratting out on any friend!

  7. Childhood friendships are the best, because they're forged without any agenda at all.

Thanks for bringing me back some lovely memories!

Naba, I have nominated you for the Sunshine Award. Kindly read my post on this subject. Congrats.

  9. It is difficult to find friends of such calibre, but they do exist. 🙂 Thanks for adding me to the above tags.

  10. You managed to convey your point very effectively even with such a short story. Truly, writing flash fiction is an art!

  11. I like that Vivian didn't even have to think twice about leaving or ratting. Probably not the kind of class one wants to be in anyway…nicely done. Gail
