Let me start by asking you a few questions.
Who doesn’t like to eat noodles? And who doesn’t like eating a good biryani? Or, maybe the question should be, who among you loves good noodles as well as authentic biryani?
Well, I’m sure you all do. I know I do. These are two food items which are rarely disliked. More often than not, you are safe when you go with either option.
Now imagine what would happen if someone combined both these things we love into one? Well and truly inventive, right? INBISCO actually has done this very thing and brought to us what they call the – Biryaneez Biryani Noodles.
Let me tell you that I have tasted it and it is certainly a revelation. A very interesting and unusual concept by itself it delivers what the name promises. It’s very different from the noodles you must have grown up eating and in a good way, I must add.
My earliest memories of having noodles are of being cooped up in the TV room at home in winters with a bowl of warm noodles and piping hot tea. I think it is comfort food something we associate with being happy and relaxed. And if you have had the opportunity of staying in a hostel then noodles is also the go-to food you turn to at any given time of the day especially when you need to pull an all-nighter.
When it comes to biryani, the sentiments are the same. I absolutely love a good biryani. Most of the time when I’m ordering in, I go for a biryani. When I have guests for dinner, I prefer making a biryani. Yes, I could be called a biryani addict if that were a thing.
I think it’s a very Indian trait liking these two food items. Yes, there are no two ways about it. We all just love noodles and biryanis. I believe this is because we have all grown up with a special place for both in our lives. These are treats that we would often get on special days or when as children we would do something that is expected of us. So, I think I’m very much on point when I say that these occupy a very positive space in our minds and taste buds obviously.
So, envision how you would feel when you get noodles with a delicious, aromatic taste of biryani. How great would that be? Biryaneez Biryani Noodles does just that. It’s two of our favorite foods beautifully combined. What’s not to like?
With the ingredients of 14 authentic spices and taste of chicken biryani, it is an ingenious way to marry the taste of a biryani which takes hours to make with that of noodles giving you a product which hardly takes any time to prepare.
I well and truly love the fact that it is very easy to make and doesn’t take much time at all. In fact, just the other day, I prepared it within a few minutes amidst my crazy morning schedule to carry to work. That says something about it because I wouldn’t dare to prepare anything which is messy or time-consuming on my mornings on weekdays. Let’s just say it is one thing which passed my crazy weekday morning test when it comes to the kitchen. A definite plus point in my books.
The variant which I have tried has an authentic chicken biryani taste. Again, very tempting on my sensibilities. Onion, Garlic, Ginger, Bayleaf, Tomato, Turmeric, Cardamom, Chilli, Coriander, Black Pepper, Clove, Nutmeg, Cumin are some of the spices in the spice mix which comes with the noodles working seamlessly to bring that taste of a biryani. The preparation is uncomplicated too. All you need to do is add the instant noodle in boiling water for a minute and stir well. Post that add the spice mix to the mixture and boil it some more and you have your biryani noodles ready. Simple as a noodle should be only with the added brilliance of a biryani. Genius, isn’t it?
What I liked:
– Concept – Taste of biryani in noodles
– Quick to make
– The aroma of chicken biryani
I think you could definitely give it a try. Of course, if you love both noodles and biryani, that’s an added advantage. It’s definitely a unique concept and very much catered to a biryani and noodle loving Indian populace.
If you do happen to try it or have already tried it, let me know what you think. Get yours at Bigbasket and give the Biryani noodles a shot
