Life’s prized flair!

Linking this to Write Tribe’s : The Language Of Love – A Contest

For this contest we have the choice of either submitting a story, a poem, or an essay on the following prompt:

Listen with the ears of tolerance! See through the eyes of compassion! Speak with the language of love! ~ Rumi

***

Take all faults
Make them your own.
All quirks irksome,
Which in nature sown.
Beyond the frail,
Temporal moans,
It’s the soul,
The Soul,
My friend,
To be known.
Through tinted glasses,
Of compassion and care,
Sprinkle on to thee,
Ardor fair.
Listen too,
To humming sounds,
Good or bad,
Be forever bound.
Recall this though,
It’s not the boons,
But those flaws you fear,
To accept soon.
A chaste bond,
That takes all love,
Away and beyond,
Echelons above.
Drink this air,
Of empathy bare,
Whisper words,
Thy only prayer,
To nurture, to preserve,
Life’s prized flair!

  1. I'ts the soul, the soul my friend to be known – ever so true Naba, in the end only the soul exists. I love the rhythm of your poem. Beautiful words and easy to read. Great job.

  3. Powerful yet soothing words. I'm already in love with this poem:)
Love is not only walking hand in hand, it is walking for each other in need.

  4. Just to let you know that I was here – over a year late – but I'm reviewing the entries to make sure the results of this contest are announced finally. My apologies for the inordinate delay. Keep writing!
