My Precious! There are many people that come to my mind when I ponder upon these words. And it makes me happy that I have at least a handful of names to associate with the expression.
My Sister definitely is one whom I have always, always taken care of as my prized possession. Ever since she was born, ever since mom and dad brought her home covered in a green sweater, she has been mine to care. I cannot see her hurt and can go to any lengths to ensure that she isn’t; right or wrong doesn’t even matter.

The Love of My Life, my soul mate, S, he is everything a girl could ever want in a partner. Something about the way he makes me feel; the sense of belonging and security, is unparalleled. I must have done something right in my past life to have him with me every step of the way. We have gone through so much together; so much to be with each other and still do, that without him around life seems insignificant.

There are the four people who are to me my most valued possessions. They are my precious! Who are yours?

Somehow "My Precious" plays in that horrible Gollum voice in my mind. Every time!
A beautiful tribute for your loved ones!

Exactly how I feel for my brother, husband and parents. You still remember what she was wearing when you spotted her first. Shows your affection…
If someone watches the movie then the words will definitely stick to their minds as he has repeated it a zillion times. 😉 The post is really great, our family is definitely the most precious 🙂 😀
Amazing how we all feel the same emotion for our near and dear ones right… 🙂
Well if I am allowed to share, the meme "my precious" for me carries a completely different meaning primarily because I know what "Gollum" went through because of his extreme obsession for "my precious". “my precious” hence is more a mental disease than bliss. Having said this I know your expression of “my precious” carries a completely different meaning. Hope I did not offend anyone!
Nice precious world, Naba. Mine is quite similar 🙂
precious post, Nabanita. 🙂
Do read this.. A Rat's Nibble – A Precious Love
Thanks Saru,… I guess family is everything we all have 🙂
Indeed Gaurab…! Family is most precious!!
Yes it certainly is Seeta! 🙂
Ohh it's a pitty that when you hear the word 'my precious' you think of a mental disease…of course the literal meaning as from the book and the movie we all know but I was trying to just take the words as a prompt 🙂 But hey every one has their own interpretation and you are always free to share… !
Well then cheers lady! 🙂
Thanks will surely read your post 🙂
Naba…. your post is on the top in popular post of the day:) Congrats… 🙂

🙂 … precisely… issue is with the prompt … isn’t this prompt an embodiment of suffering on account of obsession beyond sanity? … I understand your usage of the prompt … that’s something I can associate with, strongly … but what I am proposing is some other meme which picture your feeling in a better way than suffering. I thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts… and I am sorry in case I am annoying
Oh not at all…we all have different interpretations to things and I'm always open to readers sharing their thoughts on my blog 🙂
Thanks so much Gaurishankar for letting me know… 🙂
