Some Quotes on Love and Relationships

There is something about February and Valentine’s Week that makes everything red and beautiful. Well, in my mind certainly. As a teenager and when in college, this week and day used to be so full of excitement. It still is now but the meaning and means have changed, matured probably with time. But I still love to look up real-life relationship quotes or even quotes about love this time of the year. A nerdy and matured way of getting excited on Valentine’s Day, I suppose.

Though I do believe that gestures of love should be made all year round, I also love the idea of a day and a week celebrating that. The festive spirit just warms my heart. Valentine’s Day, I feel is a celebration of relationships and what could possibly be wrong about that?

Relationships, meaningful ones, make life so much easier to lead but it takes a lot of time, effort and pouring in your authentic self into it to build and sustain one. Many say that the best part of a relationship is the onset which I agree is a wonderful and exciting time. But when you have been in one for years and are so comfortable with each other, that has a charm unlike any other. The stability, the security and the feeling of understanding without having to speak is truly a blessing. Of course, there must be some arguments too. That has a charm of its own.

Today on Valentine’s Day, I thought I would talk about relationships and love with you through quotes. A post on love and relationship quotes. Honestly, it has been a long time since I did a post on quotes. I think every topic has been far too serious on the blog for some time now, either on parenting or something on working women. Truth be told, from my initial days of blogging, I have had a particular affinity towards such posts and why not? Who doesn’t like a list of motivating and meaningful quotes?

So, without further ado, let’s leave you with some beautiful quotes. Since this is also the 14th year of myself and S as a couple, I think I have a little bit of what it takes to identify some gems, maybe write some myself. Well, we’ll see, won’t we?

I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”― Pablo Neruda

“Being in a true relationship lets you speak your truth. If not, it’s probably just compromise.” – Yours Truly

exists only in our imaginations.”― Scott Adams

Well, those were some profound thoughts on love, relationships and self

Tell me, which spoke to you the most? And yes, Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours.
