The Night after the storm,
Brings panic undue!
Soaked and dazed,
Eyes cloaked in hue;
Her gaze wanders,
Discerns so few.
A tree, a branch,
Sulking flowers rue,
Her soul shivers,
Hopes swollen blue!
Despair nervous,
In her heart brew,
A night icy,
As her ache accrues.
The Night after the storm,
Deserts her confound!
Stillness about,
Grey thoughts profound.
Devoid of touch,
Any familiar sound,
Her Drubbing heart,
Faintly resounds,
A tale of ache,
With decay around.
Bruises; both sore,
And hidden found,
As she suffers,
This pain unbound!
