Travel and photography have become synonymous these days, the former is seldom without the latter. And when it comes to photography, a good camera is what you need among many other things. But how do you decide which one to pick? Well, that’s a tough question, really.
So, let me leave you today with some insights from Rahul Vangani who is a pro when it comes to both travel and photography. Read what he has to say about travel photography with Zenfone 3 Max, maybe it’ll help you choose a camera for your travels.
Why motivates you about travel photography?
Travelling is something that motivates me to get out of the comfort zone, make good pictures and more importantly good memories. Travelling makes you realise that you are living your life.
Do you think photography takes out anything out of the travel experience?
Honestly, it depends on person to person. To some extent, yes it does. But it’s important to have a mindset that during a trip, some time should be dedicated to taking pictures and some time should be dedicated to experiencing the location.
Describe this trip with Zenfone 3 Max.
The best part would be no fear of the battery running out quickly during the trip. Secondly, the manual controls added a lot of flexibility.
What did you think of Zenfone 3 Max in terms of battery life?
I think this phone would easily beat all the phones today in terms of battery life. Really appreciate the brand’s efforts to pack such a huge battery in such a slim design.
How did it perform in the course of your trip?
I mostly used the camera, maps, Instagram and photo editing apps on the phone and it didn’t disappoint me. The manual controls of the camera are something that I really liked.
How was the battery consumption for taking pics, shooting video, etc?
I was taking pictures with the Zenfone Max all day long and still I was left with more than 50% battery at the end of the day.
You comment on the various modes.
I absolutely loved the manual mode, especially the ability to change the white balance of the image. I can make a scene look warm or cool and give it the mood I want to give. HDR Pro also did a decent job when I wanted to capture landscape images.
Would you recommend this phone to your friends and travel photography enthusiasts?
I would definitely recommend this phone to people who want a phone with a good battery life or someone who wants a smartphone camera with full manual controls.
Well, that’s it, folks.
Let me leave you with the pictures now.
