X is for Xenophobic

Standing in the midst of unknown people in an unknown land I felt xenophobic.

Infact, I felt lost.

It was as if I was taken out of my comfort zone and placed right in the middle of a highway, uncomfortable and disoriented.

But just then the bar keep came with my vodka tonic and suddenly I began to feel right at home!

X is for feeling xenophobic….and that’s the tone of today’s tale…

Linking this post for A to Z Challenge. As I promised in the theme reveal post, as part of the Challenge I’m going to write short stories with one or more emotions beginning with the alphabet of the day as the prompt or central idea for the post. Hope you enjoy the challenge!

Linking this to UBC too.

  1. Alcohol is a respite, isn't it!? A few more and you would forget the old place 🙂

  2. Aha…a drink or two and everything is good again. Love the way you say a lot with so few words. Very well done!

  3. This is my first experience of participating in a challenge. I was not at all confident that I would be able to complete it. But with encouraging comments pouring from friends like you, I was encouraged and see I have done it!!All the best!
