Now for my View:
I didn’t know what to expect of this book when it first landed at my doorstep. Yes, literally landed! Being the festive season I was already behind in my review schedule and another book made me feel nervous about follow up mails from authors waiting for reviews. I could literally see their faces; all impatient and annoyed!

Well I always read books in the order they arrive so Aisle Be Damned’s turn wasn’t until two other books. But then in a matter of a day I found myself engrossed in it. Why? Well let’s just say my husband had something to do with it.

My husband does not, and I repeat ‘does not’, like reading books at all. He says he just doesn’t have the patience! Though he surfs the net all day and moves from one Wikipedia article to another or one newspaper site to another, as if that’s the last thing he wishes to do on earth, but a book – never! However he does like to keep a track of all the books I receive and when ‘Aisle Be damned’ was to be put up in the self, for some reason he went through its pages. A little devil on my shoulders tells me it was the enticing air hostess in red that made him to do that! Anyhow it would ofcourse be a miracle if he had read the entire book but he did go through it in bits and pieces and then urged me to get to it even before its turn. So there I was with ‘Aisle Be Damned’ on my hands on the emergency exit aisle seat, reclining mind you, going through Piparaiya’s hilarious anecdotes of air travel.
If you have travelled by air, even once, then you ought to read this book. I found myself nodding vigorously, laughing, giggling and sometimes even thinking ‘see I always thought that!’ while going through ‘Aisle Be Damned’. It’s a hilarious, hilarious book. I cannot stress it enough! It literally dissects air travel, all through tickling your funny bone.
I finished reading it while on a flight from Bangalore to Delhi and I enjoyed it a lot. The best part was when on landing everyone jumped out of their seats with urgency and I burst out laughing as my curious husband looked on.
From his very own boarding strategy to things to do while landing and takeoff; from the in flight drinks and food to conversations with co-passengers this book has it all. And trust me there isn’t a page you’d turn away from being bored.
A rib tickling guide to flying, call it what you may, but do read it. I loved every bit of it and even writing the review for it is turning out to be fun as I‘m forced to go back and enjoy ‘that chapter’ once more!

So don’t miss this amazing book which tells you a little something about the swaying hips, praying lips and ofcourse flying tips!
