My experience at Leaves and Lives

How would you describe your dream home?

I always pictured my home to be full of natural light, lots of windows that let in fresh air, rooms with floor to ceiling windows that overlook trees, acres of greenery, a nook to read and write and most of all a space which felt like being in the midst of nature whilst still being in the heart of the city.

This is probably because I grew up in Shillong, where nature and greenery sprawled across acres of land. So, naturally this was the image of my dream home and it still is, but I just wasn’t able to find the perfect fit. Everywhere I looked there was a compromise on the space available and the accessibility of nature was just a blip on the horizon. All these quandaries vanished once I visited Leaves & Lives by Assetz Property Group.  

Situated off Sarjapur Road (one of Bangalore’s prime developing locations) the row houses at Leaves & Lives have everything that I wished for. In fact, if I can be completely honest with you, it also has things I didn’t even imagine I needed or could actually have. It swept me off my feet. Yes, there is no other way to explain it.

What I liked about Leaves & Lives

The best part about the property is that the row houses are going to be built around nature. There are banyan and mango trees on the property which are going to be preserved and the row houses will be constructed around them. It was love at first sight with regard to the design, the surroundings and the overall concept of the project.

There are so many things about the property that I would like to talk about but I don’t want to sound clinical. As you will see in my images, one of the best features of Leaves & Lives is the natural light that has been very intelligently factored in while designing. You have light entering the house all the way from the top and flowing through the different levels of the house which in turn illumines every nook and corner. It’s so refreshing to see this kind of design. The entire structure has been meticulously planned, to provide a better quality of life while still using measures to conserve the environment.

The other feature which I loved very much about the row house was the utilization of space. For example, the space below the staircase, which typically gets filled in most houses, is being utilized as storage space. I love the thought process that went into this. In addition to this, there are two entries to the house- the garage space which is at the rear meaning the front of the house opens up to trees and greenery. I haven’t been to a property in Bangalore apart from Leaves & Lives which offers this.

There are so many facets of the row houses that make them unique and worth investing in. The master bath, for example, has a private compact internal courtyard. Incredible, isn’t it? Each bedroom has floor to ceiling windows that bring in natural light and ventilation. The walk-in closets have so much space- a dream come true for any woman. Furthermore, the dining room is designed in a way that it is illuminated by natural light flowing in from the top of the house. The personal lawn attached to the living space could be a perfect place to read your morning papers. The row house has etched a permanent image in my mind and it is very difficult to find an alternative to this project. I know because of all the properties I have visited in Bangalore, nothing comes close to this.

Leaves & Lives is a property spread across 6.1 acres and is part of a 26-acre township. Considering its proximity to schools and colleges, tech parks such as Wipro Campus and RMZ Ecoworld, retail hubs such as Big Bazar and Total Mall, restaurants such as Byg Brewski and much more, this is the ideal property for you. It is a serene experience being there and I cannot imagine how much more relaxing it would be living there. Did I mention that the plan is to retain most of the trees and also a well which happens to be right on the property? Needless to say, it has all the urban amenities you’d expect from a project. However, it’s the home in itself that captured my fancy.
